Teacher and Practitioner Bios

Leslie Daly received her Hatha yoga certification from Integral Yoga Institute and is registered with the Yoga Alliance. She has studied MA prenatal yoga with Mia Borgatta, LifeForce Yoga with Amy Weintraub, author of Yoga for Depression, and has practiced in both the Vinyasa and Anusara styles. Leslie’s professional modern dance career includes over 10 years of performance and choreography experience.

Leslie developed Yoga for Fertility for the Berkley Center, a holistic reproductive wellness center in midtown Manhattan. Her class provides a supportive environment that addresses the physical, energetic and emotional needs of women trying to conceive. Postures, breath, chakra toning and visualization, relaxation and meditation are used to help women connect with themselves and what their bodies are doing.

Leslie is also a dance/movement therapist and licensed creative arts therapist, and holds a BS in Dance and Dance Education from NYU and an MS in Dance/Movement Therapy from Pratt Institute. She enjoys using yoga and movement with a wide range of populations. She teaches private and group yoga classes throughout New York City and works clinically for New York Presbyterian’s Department of Psychiatry in the Payne Whitney Clinic. Leslie is a part-time faculty member at The New School and the College of New Rochelle. She has presented nationally on her work integrating yoga and dance/movement therapy to treat anxiety and depression, to provide relief from stress and pain and as a healing and creative resource.
