Teacher and Practitioner Bios

Lora Garcia teaches Holistic Childbirth Education and Infant Massage at Lila. She is also a doula and is available for labor support and nutritional counseling. Lora regards the initiation into parenthood as sacred and monumental. Trained as a Holistic Childbirth Mentor, doula, and nutritional counselor, Lora strives to empower pregnant women and their partners as they prepare for childbirth. She also helps them to connect physically and spiritually with their little one through the magic of massage as a certified Infant Massage Instructor. Lora is associated with the IM School of Healing Arts, the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, DONA and the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. She lives in Brooklyn with her husband and their young daughter.
